Wufeng Tujia Autonomous County, as a National Key Ecological Function Zone and an Ecological Conservation Area for Soil and Water Preservation in the Three Gorges Reservoir Region, holds significant importance for ecological environmental protection. The Phase II Municipal Solid Waste Treatment Project in Wufeng County represents a crucial initiative to enhance comprehensive waste disposal capacity across both urban and rural areas of the county.

The project involves constructing two new Domestic Garbage Pyrolysis Treatment Station in Wufeng Town and Caihua Township, while expanding the Phase I pyrolysis facility in Yuyangguan Town. This development will increase the county's total domestic garbage pyrolysis capacity to 90 tons per day, effectively addressing urban and rural garbage disposal challenges in Wufeng County. The initiative will significantly reduce carbon emissions, advance carbon neutrality goals, strengthen Wufeng's ecological conservation efforts, and promote green low-carbon development.
